General Data Protection Regulation Policy


1. Cruise Control (South East) Ltd will hold personal data of all current clients including name, address, date of birth, telephone numbers and e:mail address on a manual recording system. Also, information of driving licence details, a record of progress made and lesson summaries will be kept in a hand written file. Telephone number(s) and e:mail addresses will be held in the Company’s phone and computer respectively which are all secured with up to date anti virus software.

2. All data relevant to them will be available to clients upon request at all times and is seen as their property.

3. All data is kept securely at the company premises.

4. All data will be destroyed six months after the contract relationship between the client and Cruise Control (South East) Ltd terminates.

5. Clients consent to Cruise Control (South East) Ltd contacting them via e:mail, phone or text.

6. Clients understand that their personal data will not be passed on to any third parties, unless they have given their express consent, eg for the purpose of arranging a mock test or lesson with another driving school, or for registration with Theory Test Pro. Permission can be given verbally or in writing.

7. During lessons, dash cam footage will be taken for insurance purposes. This includes voice recordings. All data is automatically overwritten after 2 hours. Clients give consent to this footage being taken, and to be used for insurance or learning support purposes for themselves only.

8. Clients understand that consent given can be withdrawn in writing at any time. This may make the contract relationship untenable and Ithey understand that it may be terminated as a result.
